Txanba Payés nació en El Salvador. Escribe poesía y relatos breves. Sus libros: 'Desde la otra Orilla', 'Poesía nocturnal', 'Con la memoria en las manos', 'En torno a los ofendidos' y este último 'Poesía necesaria' donde incluye prosa poética 'Conversaciones con el dinosaurio'. Su poesía ha aparecido en varias revistas, periódicos a nivel internacional y e la antología 'Nueva Poesía hispanoamericana' de Lord Byron Ediciones. Desde muy joven se entregó a la sociología y a la teología de la liberación, participó en las Comunidades Eclesiales de Base de su país. Eso le llevó a adquirir un compromiso mas ecuánime y radical con los movimientos sociales del país. Desde hace años vive su exilio en España, en el País Vasco, donde ha participado, y participa, en diversos eventos de carácter social y actos culturales. 10
