Der vorliegende Fall betrifft eine 39-jährige Patientin ohne relevante Anamnese, die die SERODU-Zahnklinik in Quito-Ecuador aufsuchte. Bei der klinischen Untersuchung wurde eine Volumenzunahme in der periapikalen Region der Zähne Nr. 11 und 12 festgestellt, und die Palpation ergab das Vorhandensein eines weichen Tumors, der offensichtlich die Integrität des Knochengewebes beeinträchtigte. Der Vitalitätstest der Pulpa war negativ. Die Röntgenuntersuchung zeigte einen röntgenstrahlendurchlässigen Schatten, der mit einer chronischen periapikalen Läsion an den Zähnen Nr. 11 und 12 vereinbar war. In dieser Studie wird ein Fall vorgestellt, bei dem nach einer fehlgeschlagenen endodontischen Behandlung eine zystische Läsion im periapikalen Bereich festgestellt wurde. Daher wurde beschlossen, eine periapikale Chirurgie mit Apikoektomie der Zähne Nr. 11 und 12, retrograder apikaler Versiegelung und Knochentransplantation durchzuführen.
