Durch sozio-semiotische Forschung wird in diesem Beitrag analysiert, wie Parks in São Paulo die für die Stadt charakteristischen Seinsweisen konfigurieren, und die Rolle dieser Räume als Laboratorien hervorgehoben, die Zuschüsse für das Management und eine mögliche Antwort auf die Krise des öffentlichen Raums in der Stadt identifizieren.In den öffentlichen und offenen Bereichen liegen die Möglichkeiten zur Schaffung einer integrativeren Stadt, in der Horizontalität, kollektive Interaktion und Respekt vor der Vielfalt die starren Strukturen der vertikalen und ausgrenzenden Entwicklung (vielleicht) überwinden können.
