Alex Evercrest Heroine SeriesThe River FrontThe Girl on the GrillMissingMaggotRacistVotive CandlesWindy CityCountry RoadPool of BloodSins of the DaughterAlex Evercrest Collection TwoBody PartsThe Skull CollectorThe VanishingThe Shadow FighterMoonshineGrief’s TrajectoryThe Magic TouchThe Nine Towers of KuAbandonedNorthern LightsNorthern LightsGrayson, a long time Alaska Pipeline oil thief shoots to kill a person who seems to have found one of his line tap valves. That person mysteriously disappears from site.Ignirtoq finds the evidence that someone is stealing oil from the pipeline.He cares little about it being stolen but is concerned about a potential oil spill. He bends to examine a spot of black and realizes that he had been shot.He hides in a hole on the riverbank.He calls his brother and tells him that he is dying, and that Alex Evercrest in Cincinnati needs to come to Alaska to investigate his death.Alex reluctantly agrees to come to Alaska and see if she can determine how Ignirtoq was killed.Alex arrives in a remote northern part of Alaska and is just beginning her investigation when she is shot while pushing Ignirtoq’s forest ranger niece out of the way.Her instant response to the shot causes the shooter to flee. His flight leads Alex and her partner to the south part of Alaska, into Canada and finally into the United States.Durin several gun battles, the person she is chasing is wounded and finally must seek a doctor.He chooses an Indian reservation in Utah where he stops and gets his wounds taken care of. He knows that he needs to lose the persons who are tracking him down and decides to fly back to Alaska and get out into the forest.Alex is concerned that the person, who she now knows is a Grayson Gagon, is managing to escape each time she gets close to capturing him. Then she learns that he is flying back to Alaska.She finds a better connection that will get her to his Alaskan destination before him.She makes that arrests, sees that he is put in custody and then returns to Cincinnati. Later she learns that Grayson has escaped and in once again making a run for it.She gets a call from Ignirtoq who lets her know that he is going after Grayson and will let her know when he has him.Not long after she gets another call from him letting her know that Grayson is no more and that she should enjoy herself on the coming weekend.
