Гранитоидный плутон Сукари расположен на юге центральной части Восточной пустыни Египта и считается одним из лучших примеров золотоносных гранитов в Аравийско-Нубийском щите (АНС). Он состоит из крупно- и среднезернистого щелочно-полевошпатового гранита, сиеногранита и монцогранита, интрудированных в вулкано-осадочные толщи и метагаббро-диоритовый комплекс. Геохимически эти гранитоиды имеют характер от металлолюминесцентного до пералюминесцентного. Более того, они демонстрируют выраженные LREE-обогащенные структуры и отрицательные Eu-аномалии, указывающие на фракционирование плагиоклаза. Породы типичны для гранитов внутриплитных пород, сформированных в напряженной обстановке. Они относятся к гранитам типа ферроан/А, особенно типа А2, что указывает на постколлизионную обстановку. Высокое содержание SiO2, Al2O3 и низкое содержание MgO, а также низкие соотношения Ce/Pb отражают происхождение из плавящегося корового источника. Кинематические индикаторы представлены милонитами, кварцевыми рыбинами и аугеновыми структурами. Минерализация в районе Сукари обнаружена в виде кварцевых жил, штокверков и брекчированных жил.
