He wonders if those in the future have been reaching into the past and altering it? Was his discovery of the Fold capability triggered by someone from the future giving him the clues to create the Fold equation that would allow the future to change the past. He wondered where the circle began.The establishment of the oversight committee triggers him to design a way to make it near impossible for the negative Fold environment to be accessed except by he and one other person and only from Mataia.The discovery of the ability to look at the past and to be able to step into and alter it changes Bram’s plans of how to explore the Negative Fold realm.He knows he has the capability to alter the past and to change what any specific person will experience. He knows that he has to put blocks on such action and that he will need to do so as soon as possible. But the most pressing investigation is to determine if the future is actively engaged in altering history.He decides to set up several chicken and egg experiments to determine the current situation that he is facing.He feels like he is making progress then he finds the almost hidden evidence that indeed someone in the future is reaching back.Bram sets a trap and almost loses his life to the intruder from the future.Help comes from an unexpected situation that has occurred previously and has accidently crossed the time line that he and the villain from the future both occupy.Bram takes action that seals the future entry port and figures out a way to prevent the future from altering the past. He implements the Mataia maze, a maze from which nothing is able to exit.
