Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) is a common effective method for treating the end stage of knee osteoarthritis when medicinal remedies do not work. The report of surgical complications is an important criterion for assessing surgical outcomes. Postoperative complications can be caused by a variety of reasons. Therefore, any action that can help reduce these complications can improve the patient’s condition. Effective steps can certainly be taken in improving the quality of life of patients by instructing the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviors and changing the attitude or behavior of patients. The first step in effective training can be identifying patients’ basic needs, creating appropriate training materials, checking the learning environment, using appropriate techniques, evaluating results and monitoring achievements. The present book is based on the study that investigates the effect of training based on need-assessment on postoperative complications among TKA patients.
