This volume is a course in the basics of the Abcedrian System, an organized approach to the magic of the American Alphabet, emphasizing the importance of the planetary influences. Basic skills fit within the planetary/alphabetic system, yet are also useful within the context of other systems. This makes the Activities all the more useful, as they have their own value in the esoteric pursuit of the occult.It includes the entire text of the shorter (but more academic) book, The Abcedrian System: Handbook of the American Alphabet in Magic. What makes this volume so special is the additional explanations of the text, along with step-by-step activities that will prepare the reader to adapt the information for use in their own personal practice. The information is not just for the Abcedrian System: It is completely compatible with most other current systems, including Runes, Magical Qabalah, and others. Full directions are provided for calculating magical time in traditional ways, as well as 21st Century adaptations. A set of planetary seasons are provided, along with Key Words for use in planetary meditations. This course is the basis for expanding into other Abcedrian books, which will include ritual, meditation, time keeping, initiations, and other topics that are generally looked to for a complete magical system that is integrated, American (no one culture or religion), and free of religious elements from other traditions.
