Театр Воле Соинки, например, использует устное наследие йоруба, богатое эстетическими ценностями мифов, легенд и сказок, которые, помимо того, что являются словесным искусством, предлагают видение мира и помещают человека в реляционную вселенную. Поэтому повторное открытие следов устного творчества, которое является предметом данного исследования, оправдано природой его объекта. Интересное напоминание о неразрывной и существенной связи между письменной и устной литературой, оно предлагает на основе драмы прочтение существования йоруба через посредство устных жанров и наводит мосты между локальным и глобальным, прошлым и настоящим через символику перехода. Работа затрагивает проблему быстрой фрагментации устного наследия и предлагает пути его возрождения.
