The Banco National Park (PNB) is of vital importance to the inhabitants of Abidjan, as it is entirely embedded in the city. It is the green lung of the city. This forest massif, with a surface area of ..., is characterized by its very high frenetic tablecloth, making it the only representative example of psamogrophilous forest in the whole of Côte d’Ivoire. Thanks to this highly accessible water table, the park is the main source of water for the Ivorian capital. The forest has a relative humidity of 85-90% and is characterized by a high level of windfall, making it an ideal habitat for fungi.
