Os museus de arte são espaços de encontros, construção de saberes e de experiências singulares para todos os públicos, sejam eles pessoas com ou sem deficiência. Este estudo se dedicou a compreender as necessidades que as pessoas com deficiência visual têm ao irem aos museus de arte. O acesso das pessoas com deficiência é garantido na forma de lei em diversos documentos que enfatizam a importância de sua participação autônoma nas diversas instâncias sociais. A pesquisa objeto deste livro teve como objetivo determinar os requisitos a serem atendidos por aplicativos que visem favorecer a acessibilidade de pessoas com deficiência visual a museus de arte, destacando a mobilidade no espaço expositivo e a mediação das obras.Um ponto central da pesquisa foi compreender as necessidades que as pessoas com deficiência visual têm ao irem aos museus de arte. Como metodologia foram utilizados um estudo de caso exploratório que simulou o cenário do uso de um aplicativo no Jardim das Esculturas do Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo e abordagem da área de Engenharia de Software que compreende a construção do software como um processo que envolve diversas atividades, visando a construção de um documento de requisitos. Como resultado do estudo, foram desenvolvidos casos de uso bem como um documento de requisitos com vistas à construção de aplicativo destinado a prover o acesso de pessoas com deficiência visual a museus de arte. 10
