Die Acetylierung von Alkoholen, Phenolen und Aminen ist eine der nützlichsten und vielseitigsten Umwandlungen in der organischen Synthese. Die Umwandlung von Hydroxyl- oder Aminogruppen in die entsprechenden Acetate oder Acetamide ist aufgrund ihres medizinischen Wertes von großer Bedeutung. Aufgrund der zunehmenden Umweltaspekte hat die Entwicklung umweltfreundlicher Verfahren unter Verwendung heterogener Katalysatoren unter lösungsmittelfreien Bedingungen in den letzten Jahren großes Interesse geweckt. Die Entdeckung einer neuen Klasse mesoporöser amorpher Aluminophosphate (AlP) hat in der organischen Feinchemikaliensynthese und ihrer Anwendung als feste saure heterogene Katalysatorträger aufgrund ihrer flexiblen strukturellen Eigenschaften, Oberflächenacidität und thermischen Stabilität großes Interesse geweckt. Die Säure-Base-Eigenschaften dieser heterogenen festen sauren Katalysatoren können durch den Einbau von Übergangsmetallen verändert werden, um die katalytische Aktivität zu verbessern. Diese Methode der Acetylierung hat auch mehrere Vorteile, wie z. B. ausgezeichnete Ausbeuten, keine Nebenreaktionen, einfache Vorbereitung und Handhabung des Katalysators, Kosteneffizienz und effektive Wiederverwendbarkeit des Katalysators, Verwendung eines preiswerten Katalysators und einfaches experimentelles Verfahren.
