O mobbing ou assédio no trabalho é um tema de grande importância por muitas razões, entre elas o direito legal que é violado quando ocorre e também porque é um tema novo, discutível e suscetível de ser analisado de diferentes pontos de vista. Através do mobbing, a personalidade é afetada no seu aspeto espiritual, tem repercussões nas relações interprofissionais e nos direitos pessoais dos trabalhadores. Esta derivação da violência no local de trabalho afecta cada vez mais pessoas que tentam encontrar respostas num sistema jurídico que, por enquanto, apenas oferece alternativas de proteção, como afirma Marina Parés Soliva, 2008. O objetivo deste trabalho é conhecer as causas e o significado concetual deste fenómeno no trabalho, detetar os perfis do assediador e do assediado e conhecer a sua linguagem como ferramenta de deteção.
