Dans ce travail, nous avons présenté des microéponges enrichies de gel contenant des agents topiques. Le système d’administration de la micro-éponge répond à ces exigences. Les systèmes d’administration par micro-éponge sont des particules de polymère uniformes et sphériques. Leur haut degré de réticulation permet d’obtenir des particules insolubles, inertes et suffisamment résistantes pour supporter le cisaillement élevé couramment utilisé dans la fabrication des crèmes, des lotions et des poudres. Leur caractéristique est la capacité d’adsorber ou de 'charger' un degré élevé de matières actives dans la particule et sur sa surface. Sa grande capacité de piégeage des actifs, jusqu’à trois fois son poids, différencie les produits à base de micro-éponge des autres types de systèmes d’administration dermatologiques.
