Niniejsza książka jest wynikiem badań licencjackich przeprowadzonych w 2012 i 2013 roku na Uniwersytecie Stanowym w Campinas - UNICAMP, finansowanych przez PIBIC/CNPQ. Celem tej pracy jest przedstawienie repertuaru przystępnych ćwiczeń na lekcje muzyki, które mogą być wykorzystywane zarówno przez nauczycieli muzyki, jak i pedagogów w ogóle. W tym celu tradycyjne brazylijskie gry zostały zaadaptowane z materiałów dydaktycznych opracowanych przez Sekretariat Stanu São Paulo (2006). Ponadto niektóre z zaadaptowanych gier zostały wybrane do wykorzystania na zajęciach muzycznych z dziećmi. Niniejsza książka zawiera: wprowadzenie opisujące projekt, użyte materiały i metody; krótki przegląd bibliograficzny gry; zaadaptowane tradycyjne gry, ze wskazaniem dla nauczycieli treści, nad którymi można pracować w każdej z nich; raporty z doświadczeń dotyczących działań, które zostały zastosowane z dziećmi podczas badań; oraz kilka końcowych uwag na temat pracy.
