La survenue d’une détérioration neurologique précoce (DNP) de l’accident vasculaire cérébral ischémique (AVCI) est une complication fréquente qui tire son importance, non seulement de ses conséquences sur la phase aigüe, mais également par son effet certain sur le pronostic fonctionnel et vital des patients dans leur devenir. L’objectif de cet ouvrage est d’identifier les facteurs prédictifs de DNP au décours d’un AVCI et d’étudier les mécanismes de cette complication à travers une étude rétrospective descriptive et analytique portant sur les patients hospitalisés au service de Neurologie du CHU Fattouma Bourguiba de Monastir pour un AVCI sur une période de 5 ans, allant de janvier 2018 à décembre 2022, incluant les patients répondant à la définition de DNP incrément de deux points ou plus, au score NIHSS au cours des 7 premiers jours suivant l’AVCI. Une analyse univariée ainsi qu’une régression logistique binaire ont été réalisées afin d’identifier les facteurs et les mécanismes indépendants associés à la DNP.
