Il Paese ha iniziato a risentire dell’impatto dannoso di questa privatizzazione scolastica, non riuscendo a rendere la scuola più efficace per tutti. Continuiamo a pagare per l’accesso e la permanenza in classe, ma i risultati offerti sono rivendicati dallo stesso mercato del lavoro che li rifiuta. Nella testa di uomini d’affari e imprenditori (commercianti dell’istruzione prescritta) la cosa fondamentale è che ogni anno migliaia di giovani e adulti si laureano e guadagnano molto. I temi della qualità dei servizi erogati e del conseguimento del curriculum sono messi in discussione e lo sviluppo (benessere della popolazione) rimane una semplice intenzione di marketing 'accademico' fuorviante e non misurato nel senso del consumatore.
