Les conflits interpersonnels se traduisent souvent par des agressions physiques de différentes ampleurs, aboutissant généralement à des blessures liées à la violence interpersonnelle. Chaque année, une partie importante des patients admis dans les unités d’accident et d’urgence des hôpitaux au Rwanda, comme dans d’autres pays africains, sont victimes de blessures intentionnelles liées à la violence interpersonnelle. Globalement, les études indiquent que le problème des blessures liées à la violence interpersonnelle est reconnu, et qu’il contribue de manière significative à la morbidité et à la mortalité chirurgicales. L’objectif de cette étude était d’analyser et de documenter les modèles et les facteurs de risque associés aux blessures liées à la violence interpersonnelle dans deux hôpitaux de référence au Rwanda (University Teaching Hospitals - CHUB et CHUK).
