Aunque fue un escritor prolífico, el profesor Sutton será recordado por su gran trilogía: Wall St. y la revolución bolchevique, Wall St. y FDR, Wall St. y el ascenso de Hitler.Esta trilogía describe el papel de los socialistas corporativos estadounidenses -también conocidos como la élite financiera de Wall Street- en tres importantes acontecimientos históricos del siglo XX: la revolución Lenin-Trotsky de 1917 en Rusia, la elección de Franklin D. Roosevelt en Estados Unidos y el ascenso al poder de Adolf Hitler en Alemania en 1933. Cada uno de estos acontecimientos introdujo una variante del socialismo en un país importante: el socialismo bolchevique en Rusia, el socialismo del New Deal en Estados Unidos y el nacionalsocialismo en Alemania.La historia oficial contemporánea ignora estas nociones. Por supuesto, es comprensible que las universidades e instituciones de investigación, que dependen del apoyo financiero de las fundaciones controladas por la misma élite financiera neoyorquina, tengan poco interés en apoyar y publicar investigaciones sobre estos aspectos de la política internacional. Es poco probable que el más valiente de los administradores muerda la mano que da de comer a su organización. También está muy claro, a partir de las pruebas presentadas en esta trilogía, que los 'empresarios de espíritu público' no están en Washington como lobistas y administradores para servir a los Estados Unidos. Están en Washington para servir a sus propios intereses de maximización de beneficios. Su objetivo no es promover una economía de mercado competitiva, sino manipular un régimen politizado en su propio beneficio.Lo que esta historia revisionista nos dice realmente es que nuestra ignorancia como ciudadanos individuales que ceden el poder político a esta élite costó la vida de unos doscientos millones de personas en todo el mundo entre 1820 y 1975. A esta indescriptible miseria hay que añadir los campos de concentración, los presos políticos, la represión y la opresión de los que intentan sacar a la luz la verdad.
