The La La Girls, Gracie and Rosie, each star in their own solo story, Little Gracie Grace puts everything in place' and 'Rosie Rose's Broken Kiss.'In the first story, Gracie is tying on a new pink dress and turns around to find her room a mess. She can't think of how it happens at first but then realizes it was she who dishevelled her quarters. So she gets to work cleaning up and finally satisfies her fastidious nature. In the other story (upside down and backward from her sister's), Rosie can't get her kiss to make that cozy, warm little 'smack' sound. She seaches all over to find the cause and possible cure. Then at last she sees Mommy and remembers how loved she is, so she holds Mommy's hand, loves her back, and 'this restores her kisses smack.'Each book's cover is the other's back cover, but inverted, so when you reach the middle page, the girls are upside down facing one another and holding hands, chanting, 'Sister, sister without fail, flip the book and read my tale.'At this point the reader can close the book and flip it over and read the other story back to the middle again. 3
