Juvenilia (1884) es un libro de recuerdos de experiencias de la época estudiantil de Miguel Cané, escritor, político, abogado y periodista argentino. Entre la nostalgia y la total añoranza, el autor repasa algunos episodios adolescentes que le marcaron especialmente:su entrada en el colegio,los despertares tempranísimos,las correrías para conseguir salir del recinto y acudir a fiestas,también, las juergas.El autor destaca la presencia y el rigor del educador francés Amadeo Jacques (1813-1865). Amadeo era un exiliado político de Napoleón III. Fue el director del Colegio Nacional donde estudió Cané y el responsable en buena medida de la estructura académica que haría de Buenos Aires la sede de una de las más prestigiosas instituciones educativas argentinas.Cané pasó por las aulas del Colegio Nacional entre 1863 y 1868. Con el tiempo, Juvenilia se transformó en un clásico de carácter testimonial, posiblemente la mejor reseña de la labor de aquel Colegia. Juvenilia es una obra con pasajes conmovedores, con secretos personales, e indicios del adolescente devenido después en hombre de las letras y la política.
