Peter W Noonan
This book describes the author’s travels through the islands of Micronesia at a time when those islands were emerging from obscurity after a period under US governance established through a United Nations Trust Territory Mandate. The history, culture, and impressions of those Pacific islands are highlighted in this book. There is a particular emphasis on the islands of Yap, Palau, Pohnpei, and Guam, together with some of the other islands of Micronesia. The author also describes his journeys through the Hawaiian Islands with an emphasis on both Oahu and Kauai.
