La figura más popular y conocida del grupo de los neorrománticos que surgieron en la época del posmodernismo es, sin duda, la de José Ángel Buesa, poeta nacido en Cruces (antigua provincia de Las Villas, Cuba) en 1910 y fallecido en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana en 1982.Desde una edad muy temprana comenzó su trayectoria lírica iniciada con su primer libro titulado 'La Fuga de las Horas', al cual siguieron otros, hasta su consagración con su libro OASIS, de amplia difusión y formidable estima, donde el romanticismo doliente de sus versos como fiel interprete del amor y su cantor más apasionado, no deja duda alguna que en la poesía moderna José Ángel Buesa representa un valor esencial y permanente.
