Foram efectuadas investigações geofísicas de quatro mapas aeromagnéticos, folha 95 (kaoje), 96 (Shanga), 117 (Konkoso) e folha 118 (Yelwa), situados entre a longitude 4,00″ e 5,00″E e a latitude 10,50″ e 11,50″N, no noroeste da Nigéria, para estudar as estruturas subterrâneas. O mapa de intensidade magnética total, o mapa residual e o mapa regional foram obtidos utilizando o Oasis montaj versão 7.1. O resultado do mapa regional indica uma sedimentação mais profunda no sul do que na parte norte da área de estudo. A análise da profundidade espetral revelou duas camadas magnéticas. A primeira camada varia de 0,586 km a 1,249 km, enquanto a profundidade da segunda camada varia de 2,506 km a 3,174 km. A maior sedimentação (3,2 km) foi encontrada na folha 117 e a menor sedimentação foi encontrada na folha 96. A continuação ascendente da área de estudo indica que a profundidade do subsolo é maior na secção sudeste da área de estudo. O Source Parameter Imaging (SPI) mostra a estimativa de profundidade variando de 768 km a 2396 km.
