Die abschließenden Überlegungen richten sich auf Folgen der Globalisierung: die nationalstaatliche Politik kann die Institutionen des Lebenslaufs nicht mehr exklusiv gestalten. Möglichkeiten supranationaler Lebenslaufpolitik zeigen sich vor allem in der Europäischen Union.
