“I Want” is the story of eighteen months in the life of Sarah Knowles, a gorgeous 32-year-old fiercely independent sexually-charged woman with numerous passions – her own sense of image and style, her body, sex, vodka, her cat, the sanctuary of her flat, her car, art, mortality, and above all, the freedom to do whatever takes her fancy. Along the bumpy road that is her life, she encounters obstacles in her path that threaten her very existence – jealousy, hate, her family, her mind-numbingly boring work colleagues, the government, immigration problems, the police, political correctness and even death. This story – the first in a trilogy of diaries featuring the same central character – is a reflection of life in early 21st century England told from the viewpoint of one of its indigenous survivors in her quest to get whatever “I Want”.
