Self-esteem is critically important in the classroom and beyond. Often, children find it difficult to express themselves. I Am a Person is written with the aim to boost confidence and help children find their voice. It is a book that will, through humor and empathy, give kids self-assurance and encourage individuality. Author Leonie Arnold’s goal is to promote expression so that anyone who has a dream will embark on making that dream come true. Leonie Arnold lives in Karitane, New Zealand. After teaching for a number of years, she went on to develop and create artisan dolls.
