Humans are designed to consume Cannabis on a regular and moderate basis. We all have cannabinoid receptors throughout the body, we were built to ingest Cannabis, to experience it and to have a healthy relationship with it. Cannabinoid receptors regulate sleep, mood, appetite, memory, pain sensation, vascular system, immune function, reproduction and fertility. The body generates endocannabinoid molecules, they are similar to cannabinoids but made by the body, to help keep internal functions running smoothly, they are produced as needed, to keep the body running at ideal operation, making it difficult to know what levels are typical from person to person. If deficient in endocannabinoid molecules, the body is likely to experience migraine headaches, inflammation, depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia and irritable bowel syndrome. The endocannabinoid system, including the receptors, enzymes and proteins responsible for their biosynthesis, degradation and updating are supposed to be responsible for psychological conditions of energy balance, appetite stimulation, blood pressure, pain modulation, embryogenesis, nausea and vomiting control, memory, learning and immune response, as well as pathological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and multiple sclerosis.
