In 1979 Bill Owens built his first mash-tun from a camping cooler and wrote a book called How to Build a Small Brewery. At Buffalo Bill’s brewery he built a mash-tun from a used dairy tank. This book shows how to build a mash-tun from a stainless steel tote. This system can be used to produce wash for brewing beer or wort for distilling whiskey.
