Home is an illustrated semi-autobiographical journal by artist andauthor Jeffrey Schweitzer created between 2016 and 2019. During thisperiod the artist spent a significant amount of time rebuilding a 1957Stearling travel trailer and using it as a mobile studio space inwhich to work on art projects. The text for this project isessentially a group of very short anecdotes typed with an oldtypewriter. All of the edits and imperfections in the texts weredeliberately left in the book to embrace the informal journal-likequality of the project. Many of the illustrations in this book arevery small pen and ink paintings merely a few inches in size. Theseoriginals were created using layers of handmade paper varnishedtogether, giving these pieces a dream-like vinete that alludes to theidea of faded memories. When all of this content was brought togetherto create the book Home, it was organized more in the spirit of acurated exhibition of writing and illustrations only loosely linearbut emblematic of a period in time and style shift in the artistsproduction.  This is the first time we see the artist typing storiesdirectly onto very small, layered paintings and taking a more informalapproach to storytelling 3
