Hannah is a role model for anyone who has ever been bullied unmercifully, or anyone with a condition that they can't remedy, or anyone with a difficult family situation.  Hannah had all three.  Her frustration led to despair and ultimately to the temple where she poured her heart out to God.  He heard her and answered.   Samuel, the child born in answer to prayer, was dedicated to God from a very young age.  Although the priests under whom Samuel studied were corrupt, Hannah trusted God with her son. Samuel became a prophet and king-maker for the nation of Israel. Hannah's prayer legacy was substantial.  One never knows how God will use even our most desperate prayers.
