Geophysikalische Methoden haben die Fähigkeit, Salzbänke im komplexen geologischen Kontext und in tropisch-urbanen Umgebungen zu charakterisieren. Da die Ergebnisse der direkten (in-situ) Analyse des Brunnenwassers mit den Ergebnissen der geophysikalischen Messungen in ERT und EM übereinstimmen, kann man also schlussfolgern, dass die Geophysik ein äußerst leistungsfähiges Werkzeug zur Lokalisierung der Salzintrusion ist, allerdings sollte man bedenken, dass die genaue Kenntnis der geologischen Struktur oftmals notwendig ist, um die mit diesem Ansatz erzielten Ergebnisse zur Charakterisierung der Salzschräge zu interpretieren. Diese geophysikalischen Methoden charakterisieren effektiv zur Untersuchung der Salzfahne des Aquifers des Kontinental-Terminals am Rande des Nokoué-Sees in Benin. Die geophysikalischen Ergebnisse wurden durch frühere Studien von (Boukari, 2008 und Malik, 1998) bestätigt, die ebenso wie die Messungen der elektrischen Leitfähigkeit zeigten, dass es sich im Wesentlichen um eine salzhaltige Intrusion des Godomey-Sammelfeldes aus dem Lac Nokoué handelte.
