Nakhchivan is a land of Azerbaijan with a centuries-old history, rich material and cultural monuments and an ancient culture of Education. Here, even in the Neolithic period, local tribes lived a sedentary life, were engaged in various economic and artistic fields, training and education.Studying Nakhchivan’s education throughout history and its growth dynamics during the researched time is of great importance. A historical and pedagogical examination of the evolution of education in Nakhchivan will reveal that the people and education in this region have been highly valued since antiquity. The Gamigaya monument in Nakhchivan, which dates to the Bronze Age and is believed to have been constructed between the first and third millennia BC, paintings, inscriptions, and signs that depicted on it reflect the process of teaching and learning as well as the first literacy instruction.
