Unfortunately, the credit crunch and general tightening of finances coupled with the marked punters’ dissatisfaction with the beautiful game, push the boundaries further with surprising results.The next goal is the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and the battle of wills between the TV networks and other media intensifies, the lessons only half-learnt and the lines half-drawn. African football becomes of real interest to a new breed of Football investors from further afield.
