The study of ancient traditions, to appreciate them at their true value, is necessary at this time when the policy of our country is that of recourse to Authenticity, recourse to our own and ancestral values. To explain certain values misunderstood or simply ignored by those who spoke of this culture, the Lèga children are invited to exploit it. The tribe that we know best is that of the Balègà (bαlègα) where traditional education is essentially moral and is given during vigils through proverbs, songs, tales, fables, riddles and chantefables. We have preferred to analyze this educational system through songs and fables collected mainly in the territory of SHABUNDA.
