O antigénio cancer-testis (CTA) é um potencial candidato alvo para imunoterapia devido à sua expressão em locais imuno-privilegiados. Além disso, o CT45, um notável CTA, foi proposto para ser expresso em cancro ovariano epitelial em fase avançada e influencia a quimio-responsividade do tumor.
