EachSutra is translated word for word to allow some of our own interpretation into thesense these give us when put together into Sutras.This book will I hope bring some reminder to Yoga Practitioners that the true practiceof Yoga is very much ‘off the mat’ a modern phrase which in itself reveals how muchYoga has come away from its roots as it had little to do with mats for a start! Thisbook and the lessons and stories within it I hope to inspire Yoga Sadhaks to keep intouch with the roots and philosophical studies alongside the more widely practicedAsana work, which should be only a small part of this great holistic science. 3
