L’observation de l’étude indique que les extraits éthanoliques d’Ixora coccinea possèdent de meilleures propriétés anti-inflammatoires par rapport à l’extrait aqueux. L’activité anti-inflammatoire peut être due à la présence de composés phénoliques et d’alcaloïdes, de flavonoïdes, de tanins, de stéroïdes et de phénols. L’extrait éthanolique a inhibé la dénaturation de l’albumine induite par la chaleur, l’activité protéinase et l’hémolyse induite par la chaleur. La purification de chaque composé bioactif est nécessaire et cette forme purifiée du composé peut être utilisée, ce qui peut montrer une activité accrue. Cette étude donne un indice que le composé isolé de la plante Ixora coccinea peut être utilisé comme composé principal pour la conception d’un médicament anti-inflammatoire puissant qui peut être utilisé pour le traitement de diverses maladies inflammatoires.
