Le dichlorure de radium-223 (Ra-223) est un produit radiopharmaceutique à émission alpha dont l’indication autorisée chez les patients atteints de cancer de la prostate résistant à la castration avec métastases osseuses (CPRC) a été modifiée en juin 2018, en raison de l’apparition d’interactions médicamenteuses avec des médicaments courants contre le CPRC, tels que l’abiratérone et la prednisone/prednisolone. Ainsi, il a été restreint à une utilisation en monothérapie ou en association avec des analogues de l’hormone de libération de la lutéinostimuline, devenant un traitement de troisième ligne chez les patients atteints de CPRCm, pour lequel il y a un manque de preuves sur son efficacité et sa sécurité dans ce nouveau contexte.
