La bronchopneumopathie chronique obstructive (BPCO) se caractérise par une limitation du débit d’air entraînant une réduction de la capacité ventilatoire et s’accompagne d’un essoufflement. La BPCO est devenue une cause de plus en plus importante de morbidité et de mortalité dans le monde moderne. L’objectif de l’étude est d’évaluer l’effet de la réadaptation pulmonaire sur la tolérance à l’effort et la qualité de vie liée à la santé chez les patients atteints de la maladie pulmonaire obstructive chronique. Le groupe expérimental a suivi un programme de réadaptation pulmonaire de deux mois en plus des médicaments et les patients du groupe témoin n’ont pris que des médicaments. Le groupe expérimental montre une amélioration significative de la tolérance à l’effort et de la qualité de vie.
