Doug Bedwell
Doug Bedwell's plays have delighted, annoyed, puzzled and entertained audiences in university, community, and small professional theatres alike. His works are diverse, and not easily categorized. Some are essentially realistic, but others are highly stylized, drawing on elements of Theatre of the Absurd, Surrealism, and the earlier Expressionist and Symbolist movements. Many of his plays are funny, though some are decidedly not. Regardless of tone, his plays are almost always an exploration of larger ideas. Volume One contains the following six full-length plays: The Great Crusade; Creon; Cookie Bites the Ninja; Thieves; Dreaming of Forests; The Republic.
