What if your dog isn’t just learning from you... but reflecting you?Every dog owner has experienced those uncanny moments when their dog seems to understand their emotions before they do. But what if this connection runs far deeper than instinct? In Dog in the Mirror is God, animal behaviour specialist and educator Gaby Dufresne-Cyr invites readers on an extraordinary journey into the human-animal bond, revealing how our relationships with dogs can become powerful catalysts for personal transformation.Drawing on nearly forty years of experience in animal behaviour, psychology, education, and canine cognition, Dufresne-Cyr explores a groundbreaking perspective that blends modern behavioural science with philosophy and spirituality. Through engaging case studies, practical examples, and thought-provoking discussions, she examines how attachment, emotion, cognition, and our own unconscious beliefs shape both human and canine behaviour.Inside you’ll discover:• Why dogs often mirror our emotional state more accurately than we realize.• How attachment and emotional projection influence behaviour in both humans and dogs.• The science behind learning, cognition, and behaviour modification.• Practical insights drawn from real-life behaviour cases.• A fresh perspective on healing relationships through understanding ourselves first.Rather than viewing behaviour problems as something to fix in the dog alone, Dog in the Mirror is God challenges us to see every interaction as a conversation between two minds, two hearts, and two evolving beings.Whether you are a devoted dog owner, professional trainer, behaviour consultant, animal-assisted therapy practitioner, or simply someone searching for a deeper understanding of the relationship between humans and animals, this book offers an inspiring and thought-provoking exploration of one of life’s most meaningful partnerships.Sometimes the greatest teacher waiting to change your life has four legs... and has been looking back at you all along.
