Obwohl man im ersten Augenblick die digitale Welt nicht unbedingt mit dem Golfsport verbindet, so ist es auch für Golfausrüster unerlässlich, sich den aufkommenden Herausforderungen zu stellen. Unternehmen müssen es schaffen, wieder zu einem Teil der Gesellschaft zu werden, indem sie sich der digitalen Welt annehmen und ihre Strategie und Maßnahmen darauf auslegen. Nur wenn es Titleist schafft, sich in der digitalen Welt mit seinen (potenziellen) Kunden zu vernetzen, kann nachhaltig Vertrauen aufgebaut und über eine die Produkte hinausgehende Relevanz geschaffen werden.Viele bereits aus diesem vernetzten Ansatz hervorgegangene Konzepte, Produkte und Services umgeben uns bereits. Gemeinsam haben alle, dass wir (Menschen) diese Form der neuen Kreativität nicht mehr unbedingt am Produktdesign oder an bestimmten Merkmalen erkennen. An diesem Ansatz, ein ganzheitliches digitales Ökosystem für eine Marke zu schaffen, soll auch die Brand Extension für die Marke Titleist ansetzen. Dabei soll versucht werden, den Golfsport anhand von digitalen Eigenschaften online zu bringen.
