Obwohl er ein produktiver Autor war, wird Professor Sutton für seine große Trilogie in Erinnerung bleiben: Wall St. und die bolschewistische Revolution, Wall St. und FDR, Wall St. und der Aufstieg Hitlers.Diese Trilogie beschreibt die Rolle der amerikanischen Betriebssozialisten - auch bekannt als die Finanzelite der Wall Street - bei drei wichtigen historischen Ereignissen des 20. Jahrhunderts: der Lenin-Trotzki-Revolution 1917 in Russland, der Wahl von Franklin D. Roosevelt in den USA und der Machtergreifung Adolf Hitlers in Deutschland 1933. Jedes dieser Ereignisse führte eine Variante des Sozialismus in einem großen Land ein - den bolschewistischen Sozialismus in Russland, den New-Deal-Sozialismus in den USA und den Nationalsozialismus in Deutschland.Die offizielle Zeitgeschichte ignoriert diese Begriffe. Natürlich ist es verständlich, dass Universitäten und Forschungseinrichtungen, die auf die finanzielle Unterstützung von Stiftungen angewiesen sind, die von derselben New Yorker Finanzelite kontrolliert werden, kaum Forschungsarbeiten zu diesen Aspekten der internationalen Politik unterstützen und veröffentlichen wollen. Es ist unwahrscheinlich, dass der mutigste Verwalter in die Hand beißt, die seine Organisation ernährt. Aus den Beweisen in dieser Trilogie geht auch eminent klar hervor, dass die 'öffentlich gesinnten Geschäftsleute' nicht als Lobbyisten und Administratoren nach Washington reisen, um den Vereinigten Staaten zu dienen. Sie sind in Washington, um ihren eigenen Interessen der Gewinnmaximierung zu dienen. Ihr Ziel ist nicht die Förderung einer wettbewerbsfähigen Marktwirtschaft, sondern die Manipulation eines politisierten Regimes zu ihrem eigenen Vorteil.Was uns diese revisionistische Geschichte wirklich lehrt, ist, dass unsere Ignoranz als einzelne Bürger, die die politische Macht an diese Elite abtreten, zwischen 1820 und 1975 weltweit rund zweihundert Millionen Menschen das Leben gekostet hat.
