Angesichts der widerstreitenden Interessen sieht das revidierte Bangui-Abkommen Mechanismen vor, um die Interessen der Inhaber verletzter Rechte zu schützen. Die zivil- und strafrechtliche Haftung des Verletzers macht das Ausmaß dieses Schutzes deutlich, wenn er umgesetzt wird.
