Das Erkennen von kardialen und nichtkardialen Ursachen akuter Atemnot ist eine der am häufigsten erlebten Situationen in der Notaufnahme aufgrund atypischer und intrikater klinischer Bilder bei Patienten mit mehreren Komorbiditäten. Akute Dyspnoe führt bei 2-4% der älteren Patienten zu einem Krankenhausaufenthalt. Ziel unserer Studie ist es, das klinische Urteilsvermögen des Notarztes bei der ätiologischen Diagnose von akuter Dyspnoe zu bewerten, d.h. zwischen einer kardialen und einer nicht-kardialen Ursache zu unterscheiden.Es handelt sich um eine prospektive analytische Studie, die über einen Zeitraum von acht Monaten durchgeführt wurde. Eingeschlossen wurden Patienten ab 18 Jahren, die wegen akuter Dyspnoe die Notaufnahme aufsuchten und bei denen die ätiologische Diagnose (kardiale Ursache - nicht-kardiale Ursache) nach klinischen und paraklinischen Untersuchungen (EKG, Thoraxröntgen, biologische Untersuchung) und nach einem medizinischen Staff unklar blieb.
