Lo scopo del nostro studio è stato quello di valutare l’effetto dell’instillazione intraperitoneale di desametasone sull’analgesia postoperatoria dopo colecistectomia laparoscopica. Metodi: abbiamo condotto uno studio prospettico randomizzato in doppio cieco includendo 60 pazienti sottoposti a colecistectomia laparoscopica per litiasi vescicolare semplice e randomizzati in 2 gruppi: il gruppo A che ha ricevuto 16 mg di desametasone intraperitoneale e il gruppo B che ha ricevuto 16 ml di soluzione fisiologica. Risultati: nel gruppo del desametasone si sono ridotti i valori VAS del dolore addominale, l’incidenza del dolore alla spalla nelle prime 24 ore post-operatorie, il consumo di oppioidi e analgesici e l’incidenza di nausea e vomito nelle prime 24 ore post-operatorie. Conclusioni: il desametasone intraperitoneale è una buona alternativa per prevenire il dolore postoperatorio nella chirurgia laparoscopica.
