Zu Beginn dieser Forschungsarbeit war es unser Ziel, die in den Vorschulen verwendeten Spiele, Lieder und Reime zu untersuchen, um ihren Beitrag zum Erlernen der französischen Sprache bei Kindern im Alter von 2 bis 5 Jahren zu ermitteln. Die während unserer Feldarbeit gesammelten Daten bestätigten uns den unbestreitbaren Beitrag von Spielen, Liedern und Reimen zum Erlernen der französischen Sprache bei Vorschulkindern. In der Tat nimmt die Vorschule einen besonderen Platz im gesamten Betreuungsangebot für Kleinkinder ein. Sie ist eine Schule, die die Erziehung in der Familie ergänzt und auf die Grundschule vorbereitet. Sie ist der Ort, an dem die Kinder wesentliche Erfahrungen und Lernerfahrungen machen, die es ihnen ermöglichen, 'groß zu werden'. Das Kind erwirbt hier eine Sprache, nämlich Französisch, die es ihm nicht nur ermöglicht, mit seinen Mitmenschen zu kommunizieren, sondern auch Zugang zur Kultur zu erhalten, deren Träger die Landessprache ist, eine Sprache, die es ihm ermöglicht, die Welt, in der es lebt, zu lernen und zu verstehen.
