Information and Computer Technology (ICT) in the classrooms is a fundamental element for instruction in the 21st century. Various ICT interventions have been made to integrate it in teaching and learning processes. The public primary teacher training colleges in Kenya, for example have been equipped with multimedia computer laboratories (MCLs) to facilitate integration of ICT in all subject areas. This paper is a report of a survey on assessment of tutors’ demographic characteristics in relation to their perceptions and use of MCLs in training of primary school teachers in Kenya. One of the premises of the survey was that innovations diffuse through a process whereby some teachers adopt and others fail to adopt the innovations. Essentially, this book underscores the critical role played by demographic characteristics as an intervening variable in perceptions and use of ICT as a pedagogical tool.
