This is the third in a trilogy of books by David Spencer. In this third and final volume, David writes about the the social, political and cultural background to his story. Examining the legal and historical issues that have controlled and affected the lives of gay men in the past century, David explains how laws and views on homosexuality have changed for the better, and how the lives of gay men have also changed. David’s story (and the story of his partner, Martin), are part of that story, and so this final volume places the previous books and their life together in that context.
